Rep. Gillen recognized two local women who served as “Rosie the riveters” by working back home to provide the supplies necessary for success in World War II. Gillen, who introduced a resolution honoring all the “Rosie the riveters” in Pennsylvania, noted the women who worked in factories to create the airplanes, tanks and other war supplies deserve to be recognized for their contributions to winning the war against tyranny.
