WHAT: A ceremony to unveil a new highway sign officially marking the newly designated Cpl. Mahlon L. Fink Iwo Jima Memorial Highway Interchange in Cumru Township. Fink was a Cumru Township resident and World War II veteran who served in the Marines and received a Purple Heart for his service at the Battle of Iwo Jima.
WHO: State Rep. Mark Gillen (R-Berks/Lancaster).
WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 15, at 11 a.m.
WHERE: The interchange of U.S. Route 222 with Mohns Hill Road in Cumru Township.
Parking for this event will be available in the lot at the Gouglersville Fire Company Social Quarters at 475 Mohns Hill Road, Reading.
